A wide array of both glass lined and stainless steel reactors are available for the manufacture of specialty chemicals. Processes may be scaled from bench, to Kilo Lab, to our 50-gallon Pilot Plant or our 250-gallon Pilot Plant, to commercial quantities at our site. Many pieces of auxiliary equipment were designed and built in our fabrication shops in order to meet the variety of needs in highly specialized processes. The manufacturing facilities are supported by dryers, centrifuges, filters, utilities providing temperature ranges from 300°C to -70°C and specialized warehousing and bulk storage that can be combined as needed to provide an efficient process from beginning to end.

QA is an essential ingredient to the overall support of Contract Manufacturing and manufacture of our products. Our QA program provides traceability from raw material purchasing through finished goods packaging and remains a part of the company’s dedication to ongoing improvement. We are Nuclear Quality Assurance Level 1 certified and operate under GMP standards.

Change is upsetting, the ability to change is crucial! This is especially true in our primary business area, Contract or Custom Manufacturing. Our on-site Maintenance and Constuction Crew provides Optima with the flexibility needed to respond quickly to our customers requirements. Working with our customers Engineers and Chemist's, procees change or equipment modifications can be handled on the spot. This capability is essential in bringing your project to a sucessful conclusion in a timely fashion.

Optima Chemical has extensive Bulk Storage Capacity ranging from 5,000 gallon to 50,000 gallon tanks. Materials of construction range from Stainless and Carbon Steel to Fiberglass and HDPE. Large capacity inerted, bulk solvent storage is routinely handled at Optima Chemical. In addition, a 15,000 square foot shipping and receiving warehouse is capable of handling finished goods and raw materials in a safe and quality controlled manner. Another key storage capability is a 2,500 square foot storage building, especially constructed for the safe handling of the reactive metals used in our grignard production processes.

Optima Chemical has pilot plant facilities available for production and or process validation. These facilities consist of (1) 250 gallon glass lined reactor with glass overheads including a 10' packed column (8-10 theoretical plates), (1) s.s. 250 gallon reactor, and (3) s.s. 50 gallon reactors. All reactors are serviced with hot oil or pressure steam and low temperature to -70oC. The installation of additional reactor capacity and drying capability is presently underway.
